This course provides an option for students who score a 17 or 18 on the mathematics portion of the ACT or an equivalent score on an approved placement examination to enroll concurrently in this course and MTH 1023 College Algebra. Also, students successively completing MTH 0203 Essentials of Math, with a “C” or higher, may take this course. Class will meet two hours per week and will provide students the concepts and mechanics needed for College Algebra. Students must complete this course with a grade of “C” or higher to receive their credit for MTH 1023 College Algebra. Students who do not remain in and pass this course will be administratively withdrawn from College Algebra.
